145 Russian students will undergo internship at Kuban-Vino
The Chateau Tamagne Oenology Center has accepted students from the Krasnodar Region, Moscow, St. Petersburg and other regions of the Russian Federation for industrial practice. In total, 145 students from 17 educational institutions of the country will undergo internship at the company during the season.
Kuban-Vino, in cooperation with state higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, has been developing a program for training professional personnel for several years. Every year, students from specialized fields undergo internship at the company's production sites: faculties of processing technologies, fruit and vegetable growing and viticulture, food industry, departments of winemaking technology and fermentation production, etc. This year, the project was joined by the North Ossetian State University named after Kosta Levanovich Khetagurov, the Ufa College of Industry Technologies, the St. Petersburg Technical University, and the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The list of project partners already includes 22 educational institutions.
The company concludes fixed-term employment contracts with all students for the period of internship; the curators draw up an internship plan, which includes familiarization with production, theoretical and practical parts. The students perform all the main technological operations of wine production under the guidance of experienced mentors. This year, one of the innovations of the internship is working directly in the vineyards, where students are told about the technological methods that affect the ripening of grapes.
One of the main goals of the Kuban-Vino student program is to strengthen ties with specialized educational institutions to form a strategic personnel reserve for the viticulture and winemaking industry in Russia.
