Our history

The history of the trademark "Kuban-Wine" is inextricably linked with the history of the winery.

One of the largest wineries in Russia for the production of quiet and sparkling wines was established in 1956, and in 2003 it became part of the wine group of companies "Ariant". 

1956

The year of the winery's foundation and the beginning of a new history of Russian winemaking. The date we are proud of.
The construction of the winery in Starotitarovskaya started in May, and in September the processing of grapes started.
Starotytarovskiy winery was established on the basis of the winepoint by its separation from Temryukiy winery.

The joint venture "Kuban-Wine" - the enterprise which has arisen on the basis of winery of agrofirm "Starotitarovskaja" and joint venture "LargaVin LTD" is created (Republic of Moldova). The new production company has adopted the experience and best traditions of winemakers from Moldova and Kuban.

The company reaches the European level and introduces advanced Italian equipment into production.

2003

Since July 2003, a new era in the history of the company has begun - "Kuban-Wine" is part of a large-scale Russian production holding "Ariant".

This year the company begins cooperation with the French Institute of Ecology of Champagne province for the purpose of experience exchange and introduction of new production methods. 

2006

For the first time in the history of the company under the leadership of a talented winemaker Vanda Botnar was equipped and launched a workshop for the production of champagne and sparkling wines by tank method, mastered the production of champagne by the classical method of champagne in bottle.

2016

Winery "Kuban-Wine" celebrates its 60th anniversary. The end of the year was marked by an important event: production director Wanda Botnar received a European patent for the invention of "Way of producing sparkling wines".

2017

A unique series of "Angels and Demons" was created, which included two wines - red and white - from the red variety of Cabernet grapes.

By the beginning of the summer season, the winery had released a collection of wines from hybrid and autochthonous varieties grown on Taman terroirs.

One of the most important steps for the development of the company was obtaining a license for the production of wines with a protected geographical indication (ZGU). 

2019

Since the beginning of 2019, global modernization has been carried out at «Kuban-Wine» production sites in Taman. 

A series of quiet wines "Tamanskoye 1956" was redesigned, the changes affected not only the labels, but the packaging as a whole. 

2023

At the end of 2023, the company showed record results, producing more than 95.5 million bottles of wine (83.7 million in 2022) and harvesting about 109 thousand tons of grapes.

The winery is modernizing production, expanding its sales geography and developing social and tourism projects. Active construction of a new Wine Tourism Center near Anapa continues. During the year, 20 thousand tourists visited excursion sites.

As part of the personnel training program, the company is building a modern complex for trainees to live in, to be launched in 2024.
