III Southern Sommelier Cup

Wine industry professionals from 9 Russian cities gathered in Rostov-on-Don to test their knowledge and take part in the “III Southern Sommelier Cup”. Twenty-five competitors from Sochi, Krasnodar, Alushta, Stavropol, Rostov-on-Don, Moscow, Voronezh, Lipetsk and Ryazan guessed the drinks in blind tastings, described them and answered test questions.

After passing the first stage, only 15 participants advanced to the next. As a result of all the tests, the finalists of the competition were determined:

• 1st place - Kirill Chernov (Voronezh, ISSI Spirits)
  2nd place - Maxim Nagachin (Rostov-on-Don, Bellucci Restaurant)
  3rd place - Tsybin Yaroslav (Ryazan, Verite Wine Bar)

As part of the competition, a Wine Salon was held, where guests could get acquainted with the assortment from producers and distributors. The Kuban-Vino winery traditionally took part in the Cup, presenting its new products and wines from the Chateau Tamagne, Aristove, and Vysoky Bereg brands that were already loved by the general public.
